Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages resonate. It is used to count visits and see which work people are interested in. It is never used for advertising, and the data is never sold or shared.

How the choice works depends on where you are. If you are visiting from the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, nothing is measured until you choose Allow in the consent bar. Everywhere else, basic analytics runs by default and you can turn it off at any time using the Cookie preferences button in the footer. Either way, if you decline, no analytics cookies are set, any from an earlier choice are removed, and at most Google receives cookieless, identifier-free pings that cannot be linked to you or to repeat visits.

When allowed, Google Analytics sets its standard cookies (names starting with _ga) to distinguish repeat visits. Your choice itself is remembered in a single first-party cookie named ar-consent for twelve months. That cookie stores one word, granted or denied, and nothing else.

Privacy signals

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track, this site treats it as a decline automatically, everywhere in the world, regardless of the regional default described above. The consent bar never appears in that case, and nothing is measured. The Cookie preferences button in the footer still shows your status, but analytics stays off for as long as your browser sends the signal, even if you choose Allow.

Embedded content

Videos appear as still images, normally served from this site (Vimeo’s image host is used only until a copy is cached). The Vimeo player loads only when you press play, with its Do Not Track option enabled, which tells Vimeo not to collect analytics about your session. The home page shows an Instagram feed that this site’s own server fetches and caches: the thumbnails are served from amandarighetti.com, so your browser makes no request to Instagram unless a cached image is unavailable and the site falls back to Instagram’s image host, or until you click through to a post. Links to Instagram, X, Facebook, and IMDb elsewhere on the site are plain links; nothing loads from those services until you click through.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the server keeps routine logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Logs rotate on a short schedule and are not used for profiling.

What this site does not do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No selling or sharing of personal information, in the CCPA sense or any other.
• No contact forms and no email capture. Inquiries go through management.
• No cookies until analytics is active: where the consent bar appears, not until you choose; elsewhere, Google Analytics starts by default as described above.

California

This site honors GPC opt-out signals as described above and does not sell or share personal information. Questions from California residents can be routed through the contact page.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Material changes get a plain note at the top of this page for sixty days.
